Young Professionals Meet-Up | Torchbearers Event

Torchbearers invites emerging leaders from across Akron to come together to provide guidance on Akron's first Cultural Plan. This event is free, open to the public, and intended for an audience between 23 and 40 years old.

Parking Update:

There is significant construction downtown and we are recommending guests park at the O'Neils/State Street Deck. (52 W State St, Akron, OH 44308) Both the Bowery Street entrance and the Main Street entrance will be open for your convenience.

Arts and Culture Age Friendly Afternoon Tea at Stan Hywet

Join ArtsNow, the Mayor’s Senior Citizens Commission, and Age Friendly Akron for afternoon tea at the Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens Carriage House Reception Hall. We expect a lively discussion on arts and culture in Akron, after which Stan Hywet and ArtsNow invite you to walk the grounds to explore FUSED, the summer art-in-the-garden event.

This event is free, open to the public, and intended for an age 55+ audience.

Access Akron: Cultural Plan Meetup

United Disability Services, Center for Applied Drama and Autism, and ArtsNow are co-hosting a public meeting to discuss arts and culture in greater Akron and you're invited!

We believe it is vital to continue to break down barriers for our communities to grow and thrive. If you are interested in learning more about the cultural planning process and want to ensure that arts and culture in Akron are accessible to and inclusive of everyone, we encourage you and your family to attend this public event and be part of the discussion.

Drink refreshments will be provided, and you are invited to bring a bag lunch to this focus group.
