Our county-wide arts and culture organization is leading the work with facilitation by nationally-recognized, award-winning city cultural planners. ArtsNow steered the project, and Designing Local, a nationally-recognized company who specializes in cultural planning, is led the day-to-day project facilitation.
Two of our region’s key grantmakers came together to fund this work. GAR Foundation and John S. and James L. Knight Foundation will be fully funding the work.
This has been a vision of Mayor Horrigan’s since he took office, and the Mayor and his full administration are critical partners, though no public money is funding the project.
The plan that was created?
That was all you, Akron and Summit County.
