Summit County Probate Court to host an art show with Summit DD with Summit Artspace
Summit County Probate Court is proud to share the fifth annual art show presenting Art for All Abilities with Summit DD and Summit Artspace in the Summit County Courthouse. The art show will highlight various artists with developmental disabilities from across our community November 1 thru January 6, 2022. Many of the works are for sale with proceeds going directly to the artists.
“The Court staff and visitors look forward to this show year after year,” said Judge Elinore Marsh Stormer. “These talented artists continue to bring awareness of the abilities of all and bring respite through art to our hallways.”
Probate Court is happy to welcome the inclusion of Summit Artspace in this partnership highlighting these artists. Summit DD has partnered with the nonprofit to help highlight artists with disabilities throughout Summit County by coordinating and facilitating exhibitions with other local organizations.
A special reception and meet and greet with the artists will be held on December 2, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the courthouse atrium. Masks are required. Available artists will discuss their work and light refreshments will be served.
“We appreciate the support of Judge Stormer and the Probate Court,” said Summit DD Superintendent John Trunk. “This annual partnership gives artists with disabilities another avenue to share their talents with the greater community.”
Art will be on display free to all during regular courthouse hours 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday thru Friday in the atrium near the Probate Court.
