Research from the Akron Cultural Plan revealed that 41% of those surveyed had a cost barrier to their family’s ability to access arts and cultural activities. Recognizing that this is not an issue unique to only Akron, CVAC is looking offer access to quality visual arts programing via class scholarships. CVAC plans to gear 75% of their scholarships towards applicants within low to moderate income households, to close the cost barriers separating these individuals from quality visual arts programing.
