Proyecto RAICES Poetry From Hispanic Youth

Proyecto finished the first 4 session poetry workshop for youth led by Theresa Gottl Brightman. She introduced them to creative writing and a diverse group of poets. The 4th session was held at Summit Artspace for an ekphrastic poetry writing experience.

The children examined art in the room and then were tasked with writing an original piece of poetry. They were given the chance to read their poetry out loud at the end. They loved the experience.

This event was held for four Saturdays at Harris-Jackson Community Learning Center and Summit Artspace.
